Father Confirms Andrew Koenig’s Body Found

Confirming the anticipated bad news, Andrew Koenig’s parents have identified their son as that of the body found earlier today (February 25) in Vancouver, Canada.

Apple is causing a stir in the iPhone community by removing over 5000 apps from the app store due to what they deem as inappropriate content. Apple has long been known for being protective over what gets onto the app store, but never before have they rejected or removed so many apps at once. This recent course of action has caused Apple to receive a great deal of criticism from iPhone users, app developers, and the media.The official reason of Apple banning the apps is due to what they deem “sexually inappropriate.” While some of these apps are very mature in nature, some are just joke apps that wanted a cheap laugh. In response to the removal of the apps, Apple has posted new guidelines to submitting apps. Here they are as reported by Mobile Crunch:
1. No images of women in bikinis ( I personally found this rule highly hypocritical as the SI swimsuit app is a top app on iTunes.) 2. No images of men in bikinis 3. No skin 4. No silhouettes 5. Sean Penn charged with assault on photographer

Penn, 49, will be arraigned on March 22 on the two misdemeanor charges, said the Los Angeles city attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan.
If convicted, Penn - who won the Oscar for Best Actor for Milk at last year's Academy Awards - could face up to 18 months in jail.
Penn's attorney, Barry Hirsch, made no immediate comment. Penn will not be required to appear in court if he is represented by an attorney.
Mr Mateljan accused Penn of kicking a photographer in the leg at a shopping centre in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles last October. The photographer's camera was also damaged. The incident was captured on a video posted by celebrity Web site TMZ.com in which Penn is seen kicking at a photographer and repeatedly telling the photographer to "get out".
During the 1980s, he had several run-ins with photographers and a movie extra that resulted in his spending a short time in jail. One of the incidents involved allegations Penn assaulted two photographers in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1987. He received a suspended sentence.
The same year he received a 60-day jail sentence for punching an extra while filming Colors. He was on probation at the time for hitting a man he thought tried to kiss his ex-wife Madonna.

It's official: Hilary Duff is engaged to her hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie. Confirming rumors that the actress, who recently appeared on Gossip Girl, would soon be hearing wedding bells, her rep says that the Edmonton Oilers player, 29, did indeed propose. "Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii," rep Nanci Ryder said Friday. Michael Jackson Death Timeline Dispute Critical to Conrad Murray Defense, Prosecution

In a new twist, Dr. Conrad Murray’s attorney, Michael Flanagan, says his client made a mistake in his initial interview in the Michael Jackson homicide investigation.
"Dr. Murray's timeline of events the day Michael Jackson died is wrong,” he says. “Doctors make mistake. That is what he did, and it was simply that. A mistake.”

Jackson's personal physician is changing the story he initially told police in the aftermath of MJ's death - a significant move for the prosecution and defense.
According to police reports, Murray told the LAPD that he gave Propofol to Jackson at 10:50 a.m., then left Jackson alone for two minutes to go to the bathroom. DOCTOR ON TRIAL: Does Conrad Murray's explanation hold water?
Murray then went on to say that when he returned to Jackson’s room, he wasn’t breathing and he began CPR. However, a 911 call wasn’t made until after noon.
In addition, a voicemail Conrad Murray left at 11:54 a.m. that day to another patient, Bob Russell, was released yesterday. Murray was calm and collected on it.
That seems dubious if Murray had been performing CPR on Jackson for an hour before the call. To that end, Flanagan says Murray was wrong about the timing.
The timeline of events surrounding the death of Jackson will most likely be central to the criminal charges - involuntary manslaughter - against Dr. Conrad Murray.
Some reports even say that both the defense and the prosecution plan to use the newly surfaced voicemail as a centerpiece to their case, which is fascinating.
Murray’s legal team aims to discredit cops' initial interviews with their client in a bid to convince a jury they bungled the situation, according to some sources.
But Flanagan says that he believes his client simply made a mistake when it came to the timeline that fateful day. "Dr. Murray's timeline was wrong," he said.
He also suggested that there was reportedly another phone call between Murray and his girlfriend in Houston, shortly after noon. He called 911 at 12:21.
But if Murray did administer Propofol to Jackson at 10:50 a.m. as he initially said, it would be natural for cops to assume he did not check on him until later.
Police say he most likely left Jackson alone for approximately 73 minutes – not two minutes as he claimed - after administering Propofol, a powerful sedative.
This would be damaging to his defense. Murray’s calm call at 11:54 a.m. fits not only his defense, but a police theory that he simply left MJ alone for awhile.

As strange as it may sound, the producers of this year’s Oscar broadcast have asked the nominees to prepare two speeches in the even that they win. The idea is that the winners will deliver a speech on stage in front of the millions of viewers around the world where they touch on what the Oscar means to them or something in that vein. They’ll then go backstage, where a camera will be set up for them to share all of their thank yous with the hundreds of people watching online. While it will probably make for some more interesting speeches, it does kind of suck for the people getting thanked. Of course, the nominees can (and probably will) completely disregard this rule.

BRYANT PARK — Celebrities of the big and small screens traded in their starring roles Monday for seats in the audience at Fashion Week in Bryant Park.
Wearing over-sized dark shades and an ornate beaded jacket, Michelle Trachtenberg of the TV series "Gossip Girl" looked every inch the part of her onscreen socialite persona Georgina Sparks, while co-star Jessica Szohr looked less like her bohemian alter-ego Vanessa Abrams and more like a runway model in a tiny white cocktail dress.
AnnaLynne McCord of "90210" looks sun-kissed even during winter in Manhattan as she walked into the tents, and another West Coast star, Shantel Van Santen of "One Tree Hill," was pretty in a pink dress and strappy purple heels.
Roxy Olin of "The City" headed to the Jill Stuart show at the New York Public Library adjacent to Bryant Park, but sadly, was without her on-screen best buddy, Whitney Port. Actress Mena Suvari was also at the Jill Stuart show.
Big screen start Julia Stiles, wearing a long black winter jacket, chose to attend the Tracy Reese show.
Lesley Williams, a local fashion blogger, said she was thriving on the energy of Fashion Week. She has already seen a handful of shows — from Betsey Johnson to Simon Spurr.“It’s so exciting to see what’s new on the runway,” she said. “I love watching all the shows come together.”
